Have you noticed places like this along Rye lane in Peckham?

It may look unused and unloved but we at Sustrans think ‘Pocket Places’ like this have loads of potential.

If you have noticed these ‘pockets’ along Rye Lane then odds are that you’re a regular visitor to the area, you might even consider yourself a local. We want to give locals and visitors the opportunity to dream up temporary uses for these spaces…

We’ll be launching the project with a temporary event of our own so watch out for unusual happenings on Rye Lane towards the end of Feb. Details will be posted here closer to the time.

If you’re already bursting with ideas or just want to get involved somehow don’t be shy, get in touch.

  1. I would kindly suggest that you was a different background that didn’t clash witht he font.

As this makes your artcles on your page very hard to read!!!!
    and may put people off.

    • Thank you for your suggestion Melissa, I am aware of the problem. There is an issue with compatibility with Internet Explorer 8. I am trying to fix the issue. In the meantime please use another browser to view the blog. Many thanks.
